| Faced with the financial and emotional pressures of raising a special needs child, many families cannot afford items that most of us take for granted. Items such as eyeglasses, specially equipped strollers, a physical to play sports in school, dental care, etc. are not in reach of these families. Many families have already exceeded the maximums on insurance coverage and are not eligible for public aid. Established with a $25,000 grant from the Baxter Allegiance Foundation, the Emergency Fund provides grants for medical purposes to families in need. |
