Making Strides for Special Kids is a 5K/1mi. Family Walk to raise funds for special needs children and their families in Lake County. This funding will enrich the educational, vocational, and social opportunities for children with disabilities.
This event will be like no other. In addition to the 5K/1mi. run and family walk, we will feature a capable/handicapable event. Capable runners and walkers will partner with special needs runners/walkers/wheelchair participants to experience a “race” – many for the first time.

Chip timing for the 5K/1mi. will be provided by Lakeshore Athletic Services.

Packet Pickup Required:
ALL pre-registered event participants (5K/1mi. and Family Walk) must pick up their packet, t-shirt and bib number on Thursday, September 12 at The Fitness Pursuit, 1186 E. Washington, Grayslake, between 12:00 noon and 7:00pm.
