No one has benefited more from advances in technology than the disabled segment of our population. Many of these advances have been integrated into the daily lives of special needs children to help them develop their greatest possible potential. These tools are being used every day in both academic and nonacademic settings to develop the challenged child’s abilities and prepare him or her for life outside the classroom.

  • Maximize the learning process by reinforcing the desired skills
  • Allow students with minimal to severe disabilities take advantage of their academic environment
  • Promote socially acceptable and appropriate interactions
  • Diminish the hostile behavior that results from frustration caused when a student cannot interact or perform the tasks at hand
